Congratulations on your accomplishments! As you reflect on your recent achievements and consider where your life is going next, don’t forget the invaluable benefits that active membership in Phi Chi Theta can offer you.
Connections are the key to a highly successful career and future professional mobility. You will find that, as your career progresses, your promotions and ability to switch companies or career paths will depend highly on the quality of your professional connections. Continuing your active involvement in Phi Chi Theta is an excellent means for expanding your professional network.
Through active involvement, you can enhance your professional skills through volunteer projects and leadership positions, while expanding your local and nation-wide network. While some professional groups will only provide you contacts within a certain field, Phi Chi Theta provides you a broad network of alumni that are employed in various industries. Additionally, you will continue to make friends for life and further deepen the friendships that you made while in college.
Alumni can be involved as at-large members (without a chapter affiliation) or through an alumni chapter. For individuals, there are opportunities at the national level to gain leadership and project experience through committees or national officer positions. Please contact any of the national officers to inquire about individual opportunities or to find an alumni chapter near you. If there is no chapter near you, consider starting one. The personal satisfaction and intangible rewards of starting a chapter are substantial.
Mid-level Professional
College is a not-so-distant memory, but those memories, while cherished, have dimmed in the brilliance of your new priorities and opportunities. Priorities of family, work-friends, colleagues, and career responsibilities abound. What wonderful moments those are!
At this stage in your life, the value of professional contacts is of prime importance. Active involvement in Phi Chi Theta is an excellent way to broaden your connections in various industries. These connections may help you with professional knowledge, switching careers, gaining promotions, or finding a new job. Also, having connections outside your company is an excellent hedge against corporate downsizing. Whether you are seeking a promotion or career alternatives, there is no doubt that a group of long-term and diverse professional contacts is vital to your future career.
Friendship is a key part of Phi Chi Theta’s lifetime membership benefits. The camaraderie among Phi Chi Theta alumni is tremendous. If you have a family, you’re quite likely to find a peer group that can help enhance that experience or offer support.
As a more seasoned and established professional, perhaps you are ready to share your experience with others. Phi Chi Theta brothers and sisters across the nation are anxious to hear from you. They would greatly value your input as a professional speaker, a mentor, or a friend.
Perhaps you are short on time, but you want to help. Making a tax-deductible donation to the Phi Chi Theta Educational Foundation may be exactly the right the opportunity for you. When making a donation, you have the option to specify how it can be used. Some ideas are to contribute funds toward regional meetings, toward your undergraduate or alumni chapter's professional programs, or to a scholarship fund.
Phi Chi Theta (the fraternity), in conjunction with the Phi Chi Theta Educational Foundation, is working continually to improve its professional programs for members. Be sure to visit the Phi Chi Theta Educational Foundation’s web page to learn more about this organization.
If you would like to contribute your skills toward local or national projects, there are plenty of opportunities. Individuals may hold national officer positions or committee appointments, and/or they may chose to join an alumni chapter. If you would like more information, please contact any national officer.
Senior Professional
With many years of experience, you have achieved personal and professional success and wisdom. Your career and home life are well-established, and you may not be seeking contacts to enhance your professional circle at this time. However, you have a wealth of knowledge, resources, or talents that you may like to contribute to the organization.
If you have been involved in Phi Chi Theta in the past several years, then your career and personal life have been changed through those experiences. If you have been away for a while and are seeking to re-connect with the organization, there is much to be gained here.
One of the most personally rewarding experiences is to contribute your talents. The national organization needs your professional and life experiences to guide it in a mature way toward better business solutions. You can contribute informally by submitting ideas or formally through taking on a national officer position, becoming a committee chair, joining an alumni chapter, or making financial contributions. If you are interested in active participation, an excellent opportunity is to join the Phi Chi Theta Educational Foundation Board of Trustees. Please contact any national officer to learn more about any of these opportunities.
Another way to give back to the Fraternity is to contribute financial support to the Phi Chi Theta Educational Foundation, which seeks to support educational programming for Phi Chi Theta members. Donations to this organization can be specified for a particular cause, if desired, and they are tax-deductible. Contributing to a program or to a scholarship is an excellent way to help current and future Phi Chi Theta members to gain the most from their experience in the organization.

Life has brought you many opportunities and much experience. Your love of Phi Chi Theta, through your recent or long-past experiences, has brought you here looking for ways to connect with this organization. Phi Chi Theta thanks you sincerely for your years of service and your continued support of the fraternity.
Your experience and perspective will help guide Phi Chi Theta as it continues to evolve in the future. If you are interested in contributing your time and expertise, you may find a committee chair position to be rewarding. Alternatively, you may wish to consider serving as a Trustee to the Phi Chi Theta Educational Foundation. Also, you may find it rewarding to provide financial contributions to the organization. Tax-deductible donations to the Foundation are an excellent way to give back to future generations of Phi Chi Thetas.
Phi Chi Theta is appreciative of your life-long support of the fraternity.
