Natasha Ghatak is the current Eastern Regional
Director, joining us from the Alpha Mu chapter
of the University of Maryland, where she earned
a BS in Finance and BA in Economics. In Fall of 2003, she was elected Pledge Class Secretary and worked closely with both the Brotherhood and Pledges throughout her semester. With her experience and eagerness to become involved, Natasha was elected Executive Secretary, and remained in this position throughout the duration of her college years. During her tenure, Natasha successfully helped the organization achieve further recognition with the Robert H. Smith School of Business by coordinating Phi Chi sponsored signature events , which were well-appreciated by all business. She was also an integral part of organizing the 50-Year-Anniversary celebration in 2006, as well as helping modify the structure of the fraternity. For her dedication, Natasha was awarded the Dean's Spirit Award upon graduation from R.H. Smith School of Business in 2006. Her leadership and involvement as an undergraduate is still recognized today, as she is frequently invited to give various lectures at her Alma Mater. Currently, Natasha works in Bethesda, MD at Marriott International where she helps manage the finances for one of the flagship hotel properties. Along with her dedication to her career, she is actively involved in her community promoting business education through her role as Co-Chairperson for the Academy of Finance for Montgomery County Public Schools. Natasha is also involved with her city’s Chamber of Commerce and is a dedicated member of the Smith’s Young Alumni Committee for the University of Maryland. Natasha enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and supporting the Terps. She hopes to eventually return to business school to pursue an MBA in the future with a focus in Finance and Strategic Management. |
